THIS SCREENPLAY IS STILL UNDER COUNSTRUCTION BY THE WEBMASTER Email me at magic@planetaccess.com TITLE CARD: A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY 1A EXTERIOR A vast sea of stars provide the backdrop for letters that roll up into infinity EPISODE II There is unrest in the Galactic Senate. Several hundreds of solar systems under the leadership of the reel leader Count Dooku have declared their intentions to secede from the Republic. The separatist movement has made it difficult for the limited number of Jedi Knights to maintain peace and order in the galaxy. Senator Amidala, former Queen of Naboo, is returning to Coruscant to vote on the critical issue of creating an army to assist the overwhelmed Jedi. . 2 EXT NIGHT SPACE ABOVE CORUSCANT An elegant space vehicle travels thru space and enters the atmosphere of the Capital of the Galaxy, Coruscant. It is a Naboo cruiser with Senator Padme Amidala with Astromech droid R2D2 and Captain Typho, the Senators royal protectors. Many other persons were aboard the ship and were assigned to stay to guard. 3 INT NIGHT CORUSCANT NABOO CRUISER Captain Typho talks to Amidala TYPHO Its time to go! AMIDALA Yes. 4 EXT NIGHT NABOO CRUISER Padme walks out of the Naboo Ship with R2D2 and Captain Typho. Then WE HEAR AND SEE: The Ship exploding very loud, Corde, Padmes Handmaiden falls on the ground and Corde dies on Amidalas arms CORDE Its too late! WE SEE: Naboo Starfighters land on the site of the explosion. Padme was aboard a Naboo Starfighter that accompanied the Royal Starship. 5 INT GALACTIC SENATE CHAMBER Chancellor Palpatine receives word from one of his aides Uv Gizen that Senator Padme Amidala has been killed. Then, Palpatine openly announces it. Amidala arrives suddenly, Representative Jar Jar Binks of the Gungan Army is confused now. He waits for Amidala to get to the platform. AMIDALA I am alright, now I have to announce my concern of the civil war between the rebels. SENATOR 1 Are you in favor of Chancellor Palpatines decision to create an army to assist the overwhelmed Jedi in fighting the rebels? AMIDALA I am in favor of the Chancellor. The issue for Palpatines decision to have a clone army is not resolved. 6 EXT CORUSCANT BALCONY NIGHT The Chancellor talks to Jedi Mace Windu about the assassination attempt. PALPATINE I am still disturbed on the incident that happened tonight, Master Windu MACE WINDU We will do anything to protect your young Senator. PALPATINE May I ask you to assign veteran Jedi Obi Wan Kenobi and his pupil Anakin Skywalker to protect our Senator. MACE WINDU Your permission is granted Chancellor… 7 INT AMIDALA APARTMENT CORUSCANT THAT NIGHT Anakin Skywalker is a close friend to Senator Padme, they discuss the incident while the Senator walks to her room. ANAKIN This one makes me cold, also Padme. PADME Maybe someone has a grudge on me, someone from the Senate! ANAKIN Did you notice anyone following you at all? PADME No one, just the Naboo Starfighters and the Royal Starship below me. ANAKIN Don’t worry, at least I became a Jedi, Ill use my life to protect you, I promise. PADME (smiles) That’s good. 8 INT PADMES ROOM SAME NIGHT Padme goes to sleep. 9 INT PADMES DOOR WE SEE: The tall buildings of Coruscant and the camera PANS to Obi Wan who arrives and talks to Anakin. OBI WAN Hey, the Chancellors idea was ugly to them ANAKIN I have a bad feeling about this. 10 EXT WINDOW OF PADMES ROOM ON CORUSCANT Assassin and Bounty Hunter Zam Wessel controls a Flying Assassin Droid that hovers outside of Padmes window. The Droid release poisonous insect like robots called Kouhouns into Padmes room. 11 INT PADMES DOOR Obi Wan and Anakin sense danger and hear Padme shout. They rush into the room. Obi Wan chases the assassin droid that broke thru the window and hangs from it. Anakin destroys the Kouhouns with his Light Saber. Anakin runs down and takes off with his personal HOT ROD vehicle and chases the Assassin droid that has Obi Wan. Anakin chases the assassin droid with his Hot Rod through the busy traffic of Coruscant. Obi Wan falls off the assassin droid and Anakin catches him with his HOT ROD. 12 INTERIOR CORUSCANT NIGHT CLUB Zam Wessel has the droid back and is now discovered by the two Jedi. She runs into the restaurant. When Anakin and Obi Wan try to enter, they are stopped by a bouncer. BOUNCER No Jedi. Anakin tries to scare the bouncer with his light saber but, he becomes more angry OBI WAN (using the force to command the bouncer) You will let us in! BOUNCER Uh…we will let you in. OBI WAN Anakin, you will be the death of me… ANAKIN Sorry, Master. (smiling) An alien called Elian Sleazebaggano attempts to sell a drug to Anakin and Obi Wan called “Death Sticks”. OBI WAN (To Elian) Why don’t you rethink your life! 13 INTERIOR CORUSCANT NIGHT CLUB They finally spot Zam and confront her. ANAKIN Why did you attempt to assassinate the Senator? Huh!!!!!!!!!!!! Then a deadly Kyber Dart from nowhere strikes the chest of Zam. Jango Fett shot Zam and now that the information Zam held is safe, LONG SHOT: Jango runs out of the restaurant. Obi Wan pulls the dart out of Zams body OBI WAN Kyber Dart, I know the person who can help us. 14 EXT NIGHT CORUSCANT IN THE CITY The Naboo Starfighter of Anakin flies through the city to find Obi Wans connection, Dexter Jettser. 15 INT OF NABOO CRAFT Anakin and Obi Wan talk. ANAKIN Who is this Jettser guy, Master? OBI WAN He is an old connection of mine. 16 EXTERIOR CORUSCANT NABOO FIGHTER EXTERIOR PAN THEN LONG SHOT to the flying Naboo Starfighter. 17 EXT ABANDONED CORUSCANT BALCONY Darth Sidious and his new Sith Apprentice Darth Tyranus or Count Dooku meet, Dookus actions of controlling the rebels are actually supervised by Darth Sidous DARTH SIDIOUS I have commanded the Kamino to create a clone army using Jangos genetic blueprint. TYRANUS Zam Wessel has been killed, Master DARTH SIDIOUS No matter. TYRANUS Jango asks for the first clone he calls “Bobba” 18 INTERIOR JEDI COUNCIL DAY The Jedi have a meeting and Anakin is commanded to do something. YODA Skywalker, safe the Senator will be when you take her to Naboo. ANAKIN Yes, Master Yoda 19 INTERIOR JEDI COUNCIL THAT DAY Yoda talks to Obi Wan about Zam Wessel YODA Now, Master Obi Wan more to say have I about Zam Wessel. OBI WAN The Kamino System is where Kyber Darts can be found only, My Master. YODA More dark, and more sinister there is in Kamino. MACE WINDU Journey to Kamino to investigate the rebellions connection on the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala. May the Force be With You 20 EXT CORUSCANT SPACE PORT NIGHT Anakin and Padme go to a spaceport and ride a Mass Transport with different aliens on board. 21 INT MASS TRANSPORT Anakin and Padme are inside the Mass Transport ANAKIN Are you alright? PADME (nod) Im fine, yeah. 22 EXT SHOT OF MASS TRANSPORT ON THE ORBIT OF CORUSCANT The Mass Transport ship speeds out of Coruscant, we need a MEDIUM SHOT TO LONG SHOT. 23 EXT NABOO DAY Anakin and Padme walk on Naboo. Padme and Anakin walk in the areas where Padme used to grow up. ANAKIN Its beautiful in here. PADME Its also a nice windy place. PADME You know I used to grow up here, Anakin. ANAKIN Did you have a great time? PADME Yes, this is a nice and peaceful planet. 24 EXT NABOO NABERRIES DAY Padme and Anakin go to the Naberries, and Anakin is introduced to Padmes sisters. PADME Anakin, this is my mother and father Jobal and Ruwee and my sisters Ryoo and Pooja. Anakin spends his day at the lake retreat with the Naberries in the Naboo countryside and moves into a guestroom to spend the night. 25 EXT NIGHT CORUSCANT JEDI TEMPLE ESTABLISHING AND LONG SHOT of the Jedi Temple. 26 INT JEDI TEMPLE Obi Wan visits the Temple Archives with a wise librarian named Madame Jocasta Nu and they look on a hologram map of Kamino. They also see a picture of Count Dooku, the leader of the rebellion. Dooku left the order and was one of the LOST TWENTY. JOCASTA See, that Obi Wan? That’s Dooku! Oh, theres Qui Gon. OBI WAN Now I know what Dooku looks like. They also see some scenes of young children being trained as Padawans throughout the Temple. In one of these scenes, Yoda shows several young children the proper use of a lightsaber... One boy is talking to Yoda. BOY Master, its hard! YODA Always keep your guard up 27 INT COUNT DOOKUS SPACE SHIP Darth Sidious contacts Count Dooku thru hologram. DARTH SIDIOUS Lord Tyranus, be mindful, the Jedi is coming. I expected this. DOOKU Yes. SIDIIOUS Make the first move, Dooku. Now! 28 EXT BALCONY CORUSCANT Jango Fett and Count Dooku talk. JANGO FETT And the Jedi? COUNT DOOKU Kill him immediately. 29 EXT PLANET KAMINO DAY Kamino is one giant ocean; rain constantly pours from the dark sky. The cities are elevated above the water on large poles that are built into the ocean floor. The native Kaminoans are a tall fish-like people. 30 TIPOCA CITY DAY Obi Wan arrives at Tipoca, the capital city of Kamino. He is greeted by Prime Minister Lama Su. LAMA Your Master, Sido Dyas commanded us to create a clone army OBI WAN Sido Dyas? LAMA Your Master. OBI WAN But I do NOT know a Sido Dyas! 31 INT EMPTY AREA ON KAMINO Obi Wan and Mace Windu decide to talk MACE You have to find the identity of this impostor! OBI WAN A war is about to begin! 32 INT CLONE LABORATORIES Prime Minister shows Obi Wan the clone labs. 33 INT TIPOCA CLONE LAB Obi Wan sees Jango Fett and Jango tries to kill him with his Kyber rifle. Obi Wan draws his lightsaber when the bounty hunter attapmts to kill him 34 EXT TIPOCA SPACE PORT Obi Wan and Jango Reach a spaceport and Jango runs to Slave I the ship whre Boba Fett is waiting. Obi Wan gets a tracer gun and fires to the Slave I WE SEE bolts of electricity fire as Obi Wan fires the tracer 33 INT NABOO GUESTROOM BED DAY Anakin Tells Padme of his disturbing vision. PADME Whats wrong? ANAKIN My mother is in danger! PADME YES? ANAKIN Look, Padme I have to go to Tatooine to trave there, hey!---Ill take you with me Its safe there! 34 INT THEED ROYAL PALACE Anakin talks to Queen Jamillia JAMILLIA We weill give you a Royal Starship PADME Thank you, your majesty ANAKIN --Yeah thank you! 35 INT ROYAL STAR SHIP IN SPACE Anakin and R2D2 travel in space and go to Tatooine. PADME You sure this is a good idea? ANAKIN Its good! 36 EXT MOS ESPA SHOP TATOOINE DAY In Mos Espa, Anakin and Padme find Watto, the greedy Toydarian who owened Anakin 10 years ago. 37 INT WATTO SHOP Anakin and Padme meet and talk to Watto. WATTO Yes, you mean Shmi---Lars! Your mother got married with Cliegg Lars, his son from another relationship of that man is Owen Lars. ANAKIN Why? WATTO No luck in gambling, boy! Hehehe WATTO Owen Lars girlfriend is Beru Whitesun, its interesting, methinks! 38 EXT BOONTA EVE DAY Anakin and Padme go thru Boonta Eve and there is a Race. They have just been there and another Racer just blew up, the other Pod Racers got thru. Anakin and Padme see a graceful human pilot a racer and run thru the desert ANAKIN How far is that moisture farm? PADME Youre the one who lives here! 39 EXT THE LARS HOMSTEAD Anakin and Padme arrive at the Lars homstead where there is Cliegg and Owen Lars and girlfriend Beru. 40 INT LARS HOMESTEAD CLIEGG Shmi is still missing! C3PO Oh my! ANAKIN Why? OWEN Gathering moisture vaporators! 41 EXT MOISTURE FARM AFTERNOON Anakin and Owen decide to form a search party to serch for Shmi 42 EXT TATTOOINE AFTERNOON Many in the Party get killed by Tusken Raiders. Cliegg is badly injured. 43 INT LARS HOMESTEAD Anakin hears the news. ANAKIN What? 44 EXT LARS PIT FARM Anakin borrows a Swoop Speeder and takes off. 45 EXT AFTERNOON NIGHT Anakin arrives and sees Shmi. SHMI (On the arms of Anakin) Anakin! Its too late! Shmi dies in the arms of Anakin, Anakin decides to stay there for the night. 46 INT LARS HOMESTEAD NIGHT Owen , R2D2, Padme complete the body of Threepio with junk THREEPIO This is really good, wait until master Anakin sees me, NOT naked anymore! 47 EXT DESERT Anakin buries Shmis body with rocks and stays there for the night 48 INT LARS HOMESTEAD DAY Anakin reports the bad news to Cliegg, lying down injured, Owen and Padme. ANAKIN Its all your fault, Cliegg! You left her alone!!! CLIEGG My fault? Shmi always gathers vaporators 49 LARS HOMESTEAD DAY LATER. Anakin and Owen talk about the incident ANAKIN If only the Jedi Council did NOT hide her from me! OWEN Why dont you quit your stupid crusade, settle here, hey! Why dont you you know! Get closer to your girl! Its good, no one is a slave now. 50 SPACE Obi Wan still follows Jango thru space. Then Jango leads him to an asteroid field. He is NOT a good pilot like Anakin but he dodges the asteroids carefully And he goest to a planet Geonosis. WE SEE 2 Large Droid control ships in orbit. The Geonosians are planning to attack the Republican forces. 51 INT GALACTIC SENATE CORUSCANT Jar Jar Binks stands on a platform while Senator Bail Organa discusses with Palpatine ORGANA Can you give us any logical reason to give you authority to produce an army? We are also discussing your wish for UNLIMITED authority. PALPATINE You do NOT have to ask me that! The Rebels are relentlessly attacking the civilians of the Galactic Republic! JAR JAR Count mesa outta dis one! 52 GEONOSIS NIGHT EXT Obi Wan lands on the planet Geonosis and finds out it is run by an alien named Poggle the Lesser. Poggle and the Geonisians build droid armies on the planet and sell them to organizations like the TRADE FEDERATION. They are a part of Count Dookus rebellion and are the largest supplier of armed droid forces. 52 GEONOSIS THAT NIGHT Obi Wan sneaks thru the planet and comes to a gigantic cave thet leads to a tower. He entesr thru a small window and sees Super Battle Droids being built. 53 INT DROID FACTORY Obi Wan contacts the Jedi Council and they decide to let Mace Windu lead hundreds of Jedi Knights to prepre for the war. He also contacts Palpatine PALPATINE Thank you for putting your life on the line, Master Kenobi. We will send an army to battle the rebel forces. 54 INT CORUSCANT NIGHT Darth Sidious contacts Count Dooku. SIDIOUS Obi Wan Kenobi and the Jedi army are on the planet. DOOKU Jango will handle that! SIDIOUS This is annoying!!!!! Capture them!!!! 55 EXT DESERT TATTOOINE DAY Anakin sees a mother Tusken and children. He ignites his Light Saber and kills them all their arms and feet flying all over the place. 56 INT LARS HOMESTEAD Then Anakin arrives at the Lars Homestead, still hating the Tusken Raiders. Threepio is at the door talking to Artoo. Then Obi Wan contacts Anakin thru hologram OBI WAN Padawan! ANAKIN What?!! OBI WAN You have to come to Geonosis! A civil—whoa! Uhrrgggh war has begun 57 INT LARS HOMESTEAD Padme convinces Anakin to go. 58 EXT OUTSKIRTS THAT DAY Artoo, Threepio and his completed body and Padme with Anakin go to the Nubian Cruiser ready to go to Geonosis. 59 INT DROID FACTORY Obi Wan is attacked by Droids and he is captured. 60 INT DROID FACTORY Count Dooku talks to Obi Wan DOOKU Join me! OBI WAN What? DOOKU By the way, MMMaster Qui Gon is too noble headed, now your even worse than him! OBI WAN You do NOT deserve to mention his name! DOOKU Assassin Droid, process him! OBI WAN is taken prisoner 68 EXT GEONOSIS NIGHT Anakin and Padme and the droids land on Geonosis. 75 INT NUBIAN CRUISER PADME Comeon Annie! The fate of the galaxy is in the hands of the Jedi! ANAKIN Let them fight! Yoda and his NOBLE RULES. PADME Anakin! ANAKIN No!!!-----Okay, but we better find Obi Wan. 80 EXT GEONOSIS LANDING RAMP Padme convinces Anakin to fight and they are out of the ship with the 2 droids left behind. 90 INT NUBIAN SHIP THREEPIO You know I just dont understand human behavior! ARTOO Beeps 100 INT TOWER GEONOSIS Anakin and Padme are on the Geonosian tower. He opens the door and sees Count Dooku, Anakin fires his Light Saber but Dooku uses the Dark Side and it flies to his hand. 110 INT GEONOSIAN CELL Anakin and Padme are captured and put on separate cells. 111 EXT GEONOSIAN ARENA NIGHT Hundereds of Jedi Knights arrive on the Geonisian Areana. 115 INT DROID CONTROL SHIP The Droid Control Ship Orbiting the planet with a Neimoidian and Poggle on board is attacked by Ki Adi Mundi and Plo Koon, both draw their Light Sabers. NEIMODIAN This is not good! 116 EXT GEONOSIAN ARENA Dooku and Jango watch in the arena while slaves get eaten by Reeks. Anakin, Padme and Obi Wan are tied to poles and see the Reeks. The Jedi knights led by Mace are attacked by droids 117 EXT GEONOSIAN ARENA Dooku leaves the scene when the fighting begins. 118 EXT ARENA Mace Windu and Jango fight and a Reek breaks lose, Mace tries to fight the Reek and kills it. Later Mace cuts Jangos arm off and kills the evil bounty hunter at last. 119 EXT ARENA Yoda arrives with the Kaminoan clone troopers and Padme is free and takes command to about 11 Clonetroopers. 120 EXT AARENA when Anakin gets free and Obi Wan they fight off the many rebel droids surrounding them. Then Anakin fights Count Dooku 121 INT DROID FACTORY Dooku holds 2 Light Sabers and is too much for Anakin, when Obi Wan is about to come, Anakin falls to another level of the building and Obi Wan fights Dooku DOOKU How are you, Master Kenobi? Then when Anakin tries to catch up, Dooku uses the Force to throw a dead droid to him and knocks him unconscious, Then Dooku jumps and cuts a crane, when it is about to fall on Anakin and Obi Wan Yoda arrives and uses the Force o hold it. Then he uses the Force to levitate his Light Saber and fight with the Sith Lord. Then he Force pushes Dooku down the catwalk. 122 EXT SPACE PORT GEONOSIS Dooku leaves on his Sail Ship. 123 EXT BALCONY CORUSCANT NIGHT Dooku talks to Darth Sidious DOOKU The war has begun SIDIOUS Excellent! 124 GENOSIAN DROID FACTORY Padme arrives and Anakin meets her. Yoda is tired. And the Clonetroopers are happy. Obi Wan is resting also. 125 EXT NABERIES LAKE RETREAT DAY Anakin and Padme get married. Anakin plans to leave the Jedi because the code forbids marriage. The Lake Retreat is happy 126 EXT CORUSCANT PLATFORM NIGHT The Senate gave Palpatine authority to pruoduce a clone army. Many troopers are shipped off to combat the rebels. Palpatine, Jar Jar, Obi Wan and Yoda and Mace stand there. MACE The Dark Side is rising. The Phantom Menace will consume the Jedi, I know it. YODA True is the prophecy JAR JAR Dumby bits the prophecy OBI WAN Victory. YODA Victory? A defeat it was Master Obi Wan, begun the Clone War has. WE SEE hundreds of Clone Troopers being shipped around and DISSOLVE TO END CREDITS
